The Galleon Ship
A Galleon is a beautiful ship (see the model above). Many people do not know about this man made beauty. I am very grateful to give you information about Galleon ships. You may think a Galleon is just another ship or you may not know anything about it. So, I will tell you everything you need to know about this ship starting with the top part of the ship.
In ancient times, the sail was not useful and was very hard to control. It was not suited for many journeys and it was hard to find war ships with them. Instead, they had a paddle to move the ship. This is why nobody could sail to America. Soon they made a new ship called a Galleon and the sail was really easy to control compared to the other ones in ancient times. The unique thing about a Galleon is that it is both a warship and a merchant ship. The first sail is a bowsprit. The front of the ship is called a bow, next is the half deck and then the quarter deck comes after that.
